Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SoldComps (also called SoldComps), including the website at soldcomps.io, the free sold comps lookup, the API at https://www.soldcomps.io/v1 and the MCP server (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by SoldComps (“we”, “us”). By using the Service or creating an API key you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

The Service returns information about completed sales (“sold comps”) from public eBay listings, along with summary statistics we calculate. SoldComps is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by eBay Inc. Data is provided as available; listings, prices and availability can change, and we do not guarantee that any result is complete, accurate or current.

2. Accounts and API keys

You get an API key by giving us an email address. Keep your key secret: you are responsible for all use of it. If a key is exposed, sign up again with the same email to replace it (the old key stops working). We may suspend or revoke keys used in violation of these terms.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don't try to bypass rate limits, quotas, bot protection or billing, or share one key across unrelated customers to avoid paying.
  • Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to infringe others' rights.
  • Don't resell raw access to the API as a competing sold-data API. Building your own product or service on top of the data is allowed on every plan, including Free.

4. Plans, billing and renewal

The Free plan includes 100 requests a month. Paid plans (Starter $5/month for 1,000 requests; Growth $29/month for 12,000 requests; Scale $79/month for 40,000 requests) are monthly subscriptions billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until cancelled. Unused monthly requests don't roll over. Pay-as-you-go credits (Pay as you go) cost $6.00 per 1,000 requests, are paid once, never expire, and are used after your monthly allowance. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period.

One request is one search. Every successful search counts, including repeats and searches that find no sales. Failed requests are not counted.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your dashboard (Billing → Open billing portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep your plan until then, and you are not charged again. Purchased credits remain usable after cancellation.

6. Refunds

If something isn't right, email us within 14 days of a charge and we'll make it right: we refund a subscription charge in full if you used fewer than 10% of that period's requests, and we refund unused credits from a purchase made in the last 14 days. Other refund requests are considered case by case. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Contact: hello@soldcomps.io.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Upstream sources can change or block access; when they do, the API returns an error rather than empty data, and failed requests aren't billed. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid plan we'll give notice and refund any prepaid, unused period.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Prices and statistics are for information only and are not financial or appraisal advice. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, non-payment or abuse.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced by email to key holders at least 14 days in advance.
