About SaleHistory
SaleHistory does one thing: it gives your code the prices eBay items actually sold for. eBay retired the Finding API, the Browse API only shows what's for sale, and Marketplace Insights isn't taking new developers. So we built the endpoint we wanted: one GET, up to 200 sold listings, clean JSON.
Editorial standards
- Written by people who use the data. Posts are by SaleHistory Editorial, the team that builds the API. We don't invent author personas.
- Primary sources first. Claims about eBay's APIs link to eBay's own documentation, with the date we checked it.
- Dated and maintained. Every post shows when it was published and last fact-checked. eBay changes things; we update when it does.
- Honest about our interest. We sell a sold-listings API, and we say so on every guide.
- Live where it says live. The sold-price lookup shows real eBay sales; charts in guides are illustrative unless a post says otherwise.
