Rolex Sold Prices on eBay: What Submariner, Datejust and GMT-Master II Actually Sell For

Rolex prices on eBay depend on the exact reference. In eBay US sold listings from the last 90 days (pulled Oct 23, 2026), a Submariner 126610 sold for a median of about $14,300, a Submariner 16610 about $9,200, a Datejust 126300 about $10,400 and a GMT-Master II 126710 about $19,000. Search by reference number, drop boxes, parts and replicas, and use the median, not the top sale.

Rolex prices online come from three places: dealer asking prices, price guides, and actual sales. Only the last one tells you what a buyer paid. On eBay, that means sold listings, and for watches they need more cleaning than almost any other category.

Below are real sold comps for the most traded references, then the rules for reading them.

Rolex sold prices by reference

eBay US sold listings, last 90 days, pulled Oct 23, 2026. "Middle half" is the 25th to 75th percentile. Prices move, so treat these as a snapshot.

ReferenceSalesMedianMiddle halfAuction medianBuy It Now median
Rolex Submariner 126610152~$14,300$13,650–$15,000~$14,100~$14,900
Rolex Submariner 16610115~$9,200$8,630–$10,500~$9,100~$9,450
Rolex Datejust 12630076~$10,400$9,200–$11,800~$9,600~$11,000
Rolex GMT-Master II 126710107~$19,000$17,800–$21,600~$18,500~$20,500
Omega Speedmaster 310.30.4245~$6,800$6,000–$7,600none~$6,800

A few things stand out:

  • The Submariner 126610 is tight. Half of all sales landed within about $1,350 of each other. That's a liquid, well-understood watch.
  • The Datejust 126300 is wide. A $2,600 middle half, because "Datejust 126300" covers many dials and two bracelets. One median hides several sub-markets.
  • The Omega sold only as Buy It Now. All 45 Speedmaster 310.30.42 sales in the window were fixed price, so there's no auction comp to compare.

Always search the reference number

"Rolex Submariner" covers decades of watches. The 126610 and the 16610 are both Submariners, and in this data their medians are about $5,000 apart. Search the model name and you blend them into a number that matches neither.

Use the reference on the caseback paperwork or between the lugs: rolex 126610, not rolex submariner. Then add the model name only if the results are thin.

Split the variants that matter

Even one reference isn't always one market. Things that change price within a reference:

  • Dial and bracelet. On the Datejust 126300, Jubilee vs Oyster bracelet and the dial color are separate markets. On the GMT-Master II 126710, the BLRO (red/blue) and BLNR (blue/black) bezels should be comped separately. If you're selling one, search for that exact configuration.
  • Box and papers. A full set (box, warranty card, receipts) usually sells above the watch alone. Compare full sets with full sets.
  • Service history. A recent documented service is a selling point. A watch that needs one is a discount.
  • Condition. Polished cases, aftermarket parts and replaced dials all pull prices down.

If your search returns a wide spread like the Datejust's, it's often a sign you're mixing variants.

Throw out what isn't a watch

Watch searches pull in a lot of junk. Before you take a median, drop:

  • Boxes, papers sold alone, straps, bracelets and bezel inserts. They match the reference in the title but aren't the watch.
  • "Homage" and replica listings. Different product entirely.
  • Absurdly low prices. The minimum sale in this data was $1 for both the 126610 and the 126710, and $17 for the 16610. Those are boxes, parts or no-bid oddities, not Rolex prices.

Adding -box -strap -bezel -homage to the search helps, but still scan the list.

Auction vs Buy It Now

In every Rolex reference above, Buy It Now closed higher than auctions. The gap is about $800 on the 126610, $1,400 on the Datejust and $2,000 on the GMT-Master II. Fixed-price sellers are often dealers who can wait; auctions clear at what the bidders in that week will pay.

So if you're pricing a Buy It Now listing, use the Buy It Now median. If you're deciding what to bid, the auction median is closer. More on auction vs Buy It Now sold prices.

Watch for hidden Best Offers

Many watch listings sell through Best Offer. eBay can show the original asking price on an accepted offer instead of what the buyer actually paid, which makes comps look higher than they are. If a sold price shows "Best Offer accepted," treat it as an upper bound. How to spot the real accepted price.

Use the median, not the top sale

The highest Submariner 126610 sale was about $21,000, roughly $6,700 above the median. That could be a rare configuration, a full set with extras, or a one-off. It's not what your watch is worth. The median of clean sales is the realistic sell price. Why median beats average.

Dealers go one step further: when making a trade-in or cash offer, they typically price off the 25th percentile, since they need room to resell. For a 126610 in this data, that's about $13,650.

Pulling Rolex comps in bulk

Checking one watch by hand is fine. Checking a case of inventory every week isn't, especially now that eBay requires sign-in to see sold listings. The sold comps API returns the median, percentiles and auction vs Buy It Now split in one request:

curl "https://api.soldcomps.io/v1/sold?q=rolex+126610+-box+-strap+-bezel" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SALEHISTORY_KEY"
# → { "count": 152, "stats": { "median": 14321.00, "p25": 13656.00, "p75": 15000.00, ... } }

One request returns up to 200 sold listings, and the free plan covers 100 requests a month. To check a single reference without code, try the free sold comps lookup. Running a watch business? See sold comps for watches.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Rolex Submariner sell for on eBay?

In eBay US sold listings from the last 90 days (pulled Oct 23, 2026), a Submariner 126610 sold for a median of about $14,300, with the middle half between about $13,650 and $15,000. The older Submariner 16610 sold for a median of about $9,200. Prices move, so check current sales.

Why should I search Rolex by reference number?

A model name like 'Submariner' or 'Datejust' covers decades of references with very different prices. The reference number (126610, 16610, 126300) pins down the exact watch, so the sales you compare are actually comparable.

Do box and papers change a Rolex's sold price?

Yes. Watches with the original box, papers and a documented service history usually sell above the same reference without them. Compare full sets with full sets and watch-only with watch-only.

Do Rolex auctions sell for less than Buy It Now?

In this data they did. Submariner 126610 auctions closed at a median of about $14,100 versus about $14,900 for Buy It Now, and GMT-Master II 126710 auctions at about $18,500 versus about $20,500.
