How to See eBay Sold Items (2026): Desktop, App, and in Bulk

Sign in to eBay, search for the item, then tick 'Sold items' under Filters (on desktop it's in the left sidebar; in the app it's under Filter). Sort by 'Ended recently' to see the latest sales first. Since mid-2026 eBay only shows sold results to signed-in users, and it shows about the last 90 days.

Checking what something sold for, not what it's listed at, is the most useful thing you can do on eBay before buying to resell. Here's how, as of October 2026.

Two rows of steps. Desktop: sign in, search, tick Sold items, sort by ended recently. App: sign in, search, Filter then Sold items, scroll results
Step one is new this year.

Step 0: Sign in (new in 2026)

Since mid-2026 eBay hides sold results from signed-out visitors. Tick the Sold filter without an account and you'll land on a sign-in page. Any eBay account works. You don't need Gmail; "Continue with Google" is just one option. Background: eBay now makes you sign in to see sold listings.

On desktop

  1. Go to ebay.com and sign in.
  2. Search for the item. Be specific: brand, model, size.
  3. In the left sidebar, scroll to Show only and tick Sold items. (Ticking Completed items also shows listings that ended without selling.)
  4. Change the sort to Ended recently.
  5. Green prices sold. A green price with a strikethrough and "Best offer accepted" means the buyer paid less than that.

Shortcut: once you've searched, you can add &LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1 to the end of the URL.

In the eBay app

  1. Open the app and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Search for the item.
  3. Tap Filter, find Sold items, and switch it on.
  4. Tap Show results.

If Sold items is missing, the usual cause is being signed out. Some Android users reported the filter vanishing even when signed in; in that case, use the website in your phone's browser.

How far back does it go?

About 90 days. For older sales, eBay sellers can use Product Research (formerly Terapeak) in Seller Hub, which goes back about three years but only shows averages. More on Terapeak.

Reading the results without fooling yourself

  • Ignore lots, bundles and "for parts" sales unless that's what you're selling.
  • Look at the median price, not the highest one. (Why)
  • Count the sales. Fewer than five means a rough guess.

More in what are sold comps.

Checking sold prices for lots of items

Doing this by hand for one item takes a minute or two. For a storage unit or an estate with hundreds of items, it doesn't scale. Your options:

  • A spreadsheet formula. Our free Google Sheets =SOLDMEDIAN() guide returns the median for every row.
  • A pricing app built on sold data, many of which run on APIs like ours.
  • Build it yourself: one request returns up to 200 sales and the median, with no eBay login. See the docs.

Once you can see sold items, the next questions are how fast it sells and whether the price is real: eBay sell-through rate and fake eBay sold prices.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I see sold listings on eBay?

You're probably signed out. Since mid-2026 eBay requires you to sign in before it shows Sold or Completed results. If you're signed in on the app and the filter is missing, try the website, which has been more consistent.

What's the difference between sold and completed listings on eBay?

Completed listings are every listing that ended in the period, sold or not. Sold listings are only the ones that ended in a sale. Sold prices show in green; unsold completed listings show in black or with a strikethrough.

How do I see eBay sold listings older than 90 days?

eBay's search only shows about 90 days. eBay sellers can use Product Research (Terapeak) in Seller Hub to see about three years of aggregated sales.

Can I see what a Best Offer actually sold for?

Not always. eBay sometimes shows the original list price for accepted Best Offers. A strikethrough price with 'Best offer accepted' means the buyer paid less than the number shown.
